Barbecue

Updated: Aug 19, 2019

Joes KC: A KC institution. In a still working gas station on the KS side. The ribs are great, as are the burnt ends, but the winner here is the Z man sandwich. Brisket, cheese, and an onion ring with sauce. What could be better? Also, the fry seasoning is legit.

Q39: A relative new comer, but dang this place is good. Located, as you probably could've guessed, on 39th street. There is often a wait for a table, but its totally worth it. The chicken wings, while not a traditional buffalo style, are some of the best in town. Be sure to check out the burnt ends and the sausage.

Gates: I typically go to other spots on this list before Gates, but after a night out there's something about a burnt end sandwich that hits the spot.
