Kansas Side

Werner’s Sausages: Small butcher shop specializing in german sausage. During lunch they will be outside grilling the product. The sausage is incredible.

Carcineria/Tortilleria San Antonio: This is THE SPOT for tacos. I will only go here for them in town honestly. Super traditional meat in a grocery store setting. The Pastor is the standout, but can’t go wrong with any choice. Beware of the sauce that looks like queso.. It’s the hottest salsa they have (but it’s still so flavorful and delicious).

Longboard’s Wraps and Bowls- Hawaii inspired, fast place to get a good wrap or bowl. Decent variety as well

Hawaiian Bros: fast casual hawaiian spot. Everything is served in takeout containers, but super tasty and portions can range from small to huge.

Taj Palace: On 39th St. I would go here in med school for a quick Indian buffet lunch. Pretty decent for a buffet and you get a lot for the price
