So these are all spots around town. In no particular order:

Andy’s Frozen Custard- In westport area, great place for frozen custard. Their “concretes” are the equivalent of a dairy queen blizzard (Carley definitely meant its as close to Ted Drewes as you can get here in KC).

Miami Ice On 39th St, it’s basically shaved ice with condensed milk! Delicious

Insomnia Cookies- In westport, late night warm cookie cravings. I personally love the white chocolate macadamia nut. Milk also sold in store.

Betty Rae’s- In Waldo and the River Market. This is the best spot for ice cream in town if you ask me!

Glace: A more upscale ice cream spot on the south plaza. The lemon curd or port wine and fig ice cream are probably my favorite of the lot.

McClain’s Bakery: Great bakery and cake shop if you ever are in the market for such a thing.

Heirloom: Super awesome homemade poptarts and baked goods for the mornings!

Christopher Elbow Chocolates: During first friday’s at the crossroads, they are only a dollar. Normally 3 dollars so more pricey, but this is the artisanal chocolate company of KC.

Russell Stover Chocolates: Their headquarters is here in KC! So there are plenty of shops around the area. Caramel apples, chocolates of all kinds (chocolate covered rice krispies, truffles, strawberries, ice cream, to name a few).
