Niece’s: This place is a class in KC. The only thing I ever get is the chicken and waffles. And there is nothing that will change that anytime soon.

Peachtree Buffet: Not really on Troost, but I wasn't sure where else to put this without making its own post (although it is good enough to warrant it) If you want phenomenal, traditional soul food, this is the spot. The fried chicken and catfish are amongst the best in town, and the mac and cheese.. Oh lord.

South KC

Manila Bay: One of the few Filipino restaurants in town. Everything here is pretty authentic, the pancit and the egg-rolls are some of my favorite bites in KC.
